USS Michael P. Murphy Christening

Author On March 1, 2011 an invitation was received by the post to attend the christening of the USS Michael P. Murphy on May 7 at the Bath Iron Works in Bath, Maine. Four members from the post attended the ceremony.
At the same time the Pentagon Channel provided a live stream of the ceremony which was viewed by other post members in the post lounge.
